We Can Help You
Make Selling A Breeze
!
|
Why you should advertise with us...
How do free advertising sites make
money? By using your registration
information to contact you with
future sales pitches of course!
And worse they may sell your contact
information to other companies who
want to sell you something. We
never use your contact information
for any unauthorized purpose.
Horsesales, Inc. has been on
the 'net at the same address
at http://www.horsesales.com
since March 1996, so we have an
extensive network of sites that
provide links to us, as well as
an established presence in the
major search engines, and an
established base of regular
visitors.
Our web site attracts 500-700
visitors per day, most of them
looking specifically for a horse
or related service. Some sites
advertise the "number of hits",
"impressions", or "page views"
they get per day - be careful,
this is not the same as number
of unique visitors.
We are proactive in promoting our
advertised horses and businesses
by answering "horse wanted" ads
on other sites, helping buyers
look for a specific type of horse
or service, and by promoting our web
site at shows, race tracks, tack
shops, boarding stables, as well as
on the internet.
Our prices are incredibly low -
a 3 picture ad for $25, a video
ad including 3 pictures for $50.
Ads are posted at this price for
3 months, which we have found is
usually enough time for most
horses to sell. Many horses sell
in a just a few days! If you
are not happy with the response
from your ad, we are happy to
change the photos or any other
information in the ad during it's
3 month run at no extra charge.
All our sale ads are all on a
separate page to enable sellers
to print the ad like a flyer to
post around town, and to use the
specific web address of their ad
in email to buyers or to list in
free classified ads. Many other
sites have multiple horse ads on
a page, and many "free" sites
have a lot of distracting graphics
or ads on the same page with
individual horse ads.
We don't charge extra for scanning,
editing, or compressing photos and
videos, for returning photos or
videos, or for customizing your ad
- everything is included in the
upfront, flat rate. When compared
to other sites, we provide a larger
picture size and better clarity in
our videos, and all photos are
edited both for fastest download
and most attractive presentation.
We have cultivated a customer
base of buyers who are always
looking for horses, and who
we notify when we have a horse
for sale that meets their criteria
- this is a value added service
that you won't get from most
other advertising web sites.
Each Horsesales, Inc. associate
has at least 20 years experience
in the horse business - breeding,
racing, showing, also buying and
selling. Practical experience,
contacts, and our location in the
horse oriented state of Kentucky,
gives us an edge that some other
advertising sites just don't have.
We keep the site simple for a
reason - elements like image maps,
frames, search programs, and
databases can be irritating,
slow, and prone to errors. Horses
get lost in large databases where
every other site visitor does a
search for "16 hand thoroughbred
gelding". We believe the buyer
and seller are better served by our
traditional sale list format,
categorized by age and discipline
or level of training.
We don't do text-only ads
because they don't work. Some
sites display thumbnail photos
in search results or display
thumbnail photos for those ads
that have a photo. We display a
thumbnail photo for every single
ad in our sale lists. We do this
because it is what buyers and
sellers want, and it helps draw
attention to horses that may
otherwise be skipped over.
Finally, not only are we very
experienced in the horse business,
but we are seasoned computer
professionals who understand
the internet. We can help you
understand and get the greatest
benefit out of internet advertising.

about Amy Stevens, President, Horsesales, Inc. -
Amy worked as a groom during and after college at
farms and stables specializing
in American Saddlebred show horses, Trakehner breeding stock and
event horses, Arabian breeding stock and performance horses,
and Thoroughbred race horses. She has worked as a
groom at Churchill Downs and Louisville area training centers,
and on several thoroughbred farms where she learned
the details of breeding and foaling, and prepping yearlings for sale.
She later lived the "corporate life" working her way up as a computer
programmer and field engineer to managing a large project for TRW
Enterprise Solutions.
During this time, Amy kept horses at one of
the biggest eventing barns in Kentucky, where she took regular lessons,
showed a little, and eventually concentrated on dressage with her
dream horse, a 17 hand Dutch Warmblood/Thoroughbred gelding.
The rest of her life was filled with managing a partnership of 20 people who claimed and raced
horses in Kentucky. All these valuable experiences converged into an idea in
1996, when the internet was starting to create a stir, and Horsesales, Inc.
was born.
Amy Stevens is founder and President of
Horsesales, Inc., and spends her time
managing web sites for many horse related businesses, and assisting partner Jere R. Smith Jr. with
documentation and reporting on his large racing stable in Saudi Arabia.
from Amy, 2008 - Many Thanks to all my clients who have continued to use my services after I moved to Saudi Arabia in 2004.
Horsesales, Inc. is thriving and growing, thanks to you!
