2013 Black Thoroughbred colt

by PARADING (Pulpit)

Kentucky Bred

foaled March 10th, 2013

Out of Smiley Jane by Lear Fan, dam of 3 foals of racing age with 2 to race so far, both still active. This colt is sibling to a gelding with 4 wins (including 2 year old wins), who is active in 2014 with over $62,000 in earnings. Another sibling just placed in a Maiden Special Weight as a 2 year old.

Dam Smiley Jane's 2nd and 3rd dams are both stakes producers and the dams of 9 winners each. This family has a long line of long lived runners who won starting as 2 year olds. Broodmare sires are well noted with: Lear Fan, Housebuster, and Lyphard.

He has a nicely balanced body, good through the shoulder at walk, and a stout, strong build. A sensible and well handled, attractive colt. He is zippity fast, can turn on a dime. Good mind too.

Sticked at just under 15.2 hands. According to the growth plate measurements he has 2-3 more inches to grow. Scopes GRADE A. His vet xrays listed nothing significant and okay for racing use. Stud fee is paid and the colt is fully registered.

2014 yearling colts by Parading average $15,000 at auction in 2014.

This colt is Breeder's Cup Nominated and Eligible for KTDF registration.

He has started professional backing/training at Moserwood Farms, Prospect, Kentucky. Price will be firm as training comes along!
